Vice President, Sales Chem Safety

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement the commercial sales strategy for the Chemical Safety business unit.

• Achieve sustainable revenue and gross profit growth while increasing market share.

• Lead the sales team for the Chemical Safety division and influence cross-divisional and channel sales teams.

• Convert annual business goals into sales priorities, account plans, channel strategies, vertical-market initiatives, and performance expectations.

• Create end-user demand and drive pull-through sales via distribution and channel partners.

• Establish operating rhythms, sales targets, forecasts, KPIs, and necessary corrective actions.

• Promote profitable growth by optimizing product mix, maintaining pricing discipline, developing strategic accounts, acquiring new customers, cross-selling, and penetrating new products.

• Guide, mentor, and develop Business Development Managers, Specialty Account Managers, Inside Sales, Technical Sales, and other commercial positions.

• Implement and oversee structured sales processes from prospecting to post-sale expansion.

• Ensure that CRM serves as the definitive source for opportunities, customer activities, forecasting, and pipeline management.

• Cultivate and sustain executive-level relationships with strategic customers, distributors, channel partners, and key end users.

• Spearhead strategic account development, negotiations, customer reviews, and account planning.

• Develop and oversee relationships with distributors, channel partners, representatives, and independent manufacturers' representatives.

• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, customer demands, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.

• Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to create market-entry, growth, and new-product launch plans.

• Work cross-functionally to synchronize demand generation, product development, forecasting, pricing, operations, and customer experience.

• Serve as the commercial representative of the customer within the Chemical Safety leadership team.

• Create and manage the sales operating budget while allocating commercial resources effectively.

• Achieve performance targets related to revenue, gross profit, pipeline, conversion, forecast accuracy, customer growth, CRM, productivity, and talent KPIs.

• Strongly engaged, hands-on commercial leadership capabilities.

• Proficient in developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies.

• Skilled in translating business objectives into sales priorities, account plans, channel strategies, vertical-market initiatives, and performance expectations.

• Capable of identifying high-potential markets, customers, applications, and channels, and effectively allocating sales resources.

• Experienced in generating end-user demand and facilitating pull-through sales through distribution and channel partners.

• Able to set sales targets and produce accurate sales forecasts.

• Competent in leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing sales organization.

• Proficient in conducting coaching, performance reviews, pipeline assessments, account evaluations, and development discussions.

• Experienced in establishing and managing disciplined sales processes and CRM standards.

• Effective at building executive-level relationships with strategic customers, distributors, channel partners, and key end users.

• Skilled in developing strategies for distributors, channels, representatives, and independent manufacturers' representatives.

• Knowledgeable in monitoring industry trends, competitor actions, customer needs, regulatory developments, and market dynamics.

• Experienced in partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, National Accounts, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service.

• Capable of developing and managing sales operating budgets and assessing commercial investments.
