This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic leadership and guidance for the Risk Management Strategies division.
• Ensure alignment with the organization’s objectives, growth strategies, and financial targets.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of Matrix's businesses, goals, products, and services.
• Ensure messaging and solutions effectively meet the needs of clients and brokers.
• Identify the most effective deployment of Matrix products and services for clients, brokers, and carrier partners.
• Develop and implement both short- and long-term strategies that drive profitable growth, operational efficiency, client retention, and service excellence.
• Take responsibility for financial and operational performance, including P&L management, quality assurance, human resources, product development, strategic relationships, and policies and procedures.
• Lead and manage Property and Liability leaders and their teams.
• Establish performance expectations and assess operational, financial, client service, and organizational outcomes.
• Exercise independent judgment on significant operational, financial, client, and strategic issues.
• Enhance client programs, operational processes, service delivery, and program efficiency.
• Formulate strategic recommendations based on client goals, program performance, industry trends, and emerging risks.
• Lead complex projects, strategic initiatives, and business planning meetings with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients, brokers, carriers, vendors, and business partners.
• Address significant client, operational, and business challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to enhance processes and maximize efficiencies.
• Assess vendor relationships and contracts, recommending or negotiating changes as needed.
• Work with carrier partners to expand product and service offerings.
• Engage in client and prospect meetings, industry events, and broker/carrier gatherings.
• Prepare for and participate in presentations to the Board of Directors and senior leadership.
• Monitor market conditions, industry developments, competitors, and emerging trends.
• Develop, implement, and oversee policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Select, develop, mentor, and evaluate leaders and key team members.
• Undertake other executive responsibilities and strategic initiatives as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant executive-level experience.
• At least ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in a third-party administrator (TPA), insurance carrier, risk management organization, or related field.
• Significant leadership experience with accountability for business operations, client relationships, financial performance, and organizational strategy development.
• Proven experience in managing and developing leaders and professional teams.
• Demonstrated experience in P&L management and financial accountability.
• Extensive knowledge of automobile liability, general liability, and property programs.
• Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with clients, brokers, carriers, and other strategic business partners.
• Proven business development and consultative sales experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.
• Capability to develop and execute business strategies that support growth and profitability.
• Strong executive leadership, business judgment, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to analyze complex financial, operational, and business data and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
• Strong grasp of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L performance.
• Capacity to lead through subordinate managers and establish accountability for business and operational outcomes.
• Exceptional skills in relationship management, negotiation, presentation, and executive communication.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with C-suite executives, clients, brokers, carriers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Skilled at identifying and resolving complex business, operational, and client issues using independent judgment.
• Ability to lead multiple strategic initiatives and priorities in a dynamic business environment.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.
• Proficient in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, procedures, operational standards, and performance expectations.
• Capability to review and analyze financial, operational, client, and market data.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive business, employee, client, and financial information.
• Proficient in utilizing technology and business applications essential for executing executive-level responsibilities.
• Committed to maintaining regular and reliable attendance and traveling as required.
