This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of the complete baseline Provider business architecture encompassing enrollment, screening, credentialing, provider data management, portals, interfaces, correspondence, and other relevant capabilities.
• Create reusable process models, capability maps, roles, information flows, business rules, and reference designs for Provider solutions.
• Lead the establishment of application design and configuration standards, ensuring that requirements, product capabilities, gaps, extensions, and configuration decisions are traceable and actionable.
• Govern design decisions and exceptions through stage gates, decision rights, ownership, deadlines, and escalation pathways.
• Confirm that business requirements include how-met responses, acceptance and testing criteria, dependencies, architectural alignment, and contractual alignment.
• Collaborate with Solutioning, Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams to translate proposals, contracts, and statements of work into governed designs.
• Provide leadership in business architecture across Provider DDIs, including configuration readiness, product-gap resolution, client decisions, and implementation transition.
• Serve as a hands-on, servant leader addressing complex client solution challenges.
• Keep abreast of federal and state regulatory changes while ensuring compliance in Provider processes, business rules, and application designs.
• Coordinate with executives from engineering, product management, solutioning, and implementation to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Propel DDI transformation through standardization, reusable assets, automation, AI-enabled design and configuration, and the adoption of implementation learning.
• Assess and enhance design reuse, configuration efficiency, quality, cycle time, and cost; make investment requirements and trade-offs clear.
• Oversee a growing team of over 50 professionals dedicated to supporting Provider DDIs.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, healthcare administration, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in business architecture, solution architecture, application design, product design, or enterprise healthcare technology.
• A minimum of ten years of experience leading matrixed teams.
• Five or more years in a senior director, vice president, or equivalent role.
• At least ten years of experience supporting Medicaid, public-sector healthcare, or similarly regulated programs.
• A minimum of five years in Medicaid Provider solutions or implementations.
• Experience leading business architecture and application design for at least two large-scale, multi-workstream implementations or enterprise solution transformations.
• Proven experience in defining reusable processes, requirements, configuration, and governance standards across multiple products, clients, or implementations.
• Experience in resolving complex solution challenges with clients during implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and scale a large team with defined goals and objectives aligned with the broader organization.
• Proven ownership of at least three core areas: business-process architecture, requirements quality and traceability, application design, configuration governance, or product-gap governance.
• Proven capability to align Product, Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Solutioning, Implementation, Customer Experience, and client executives to approved designs, ownership, decisions, and target timelines.
• Demonstrated experience in translating proposals, contracts, statements of work, and regulatory requirements into actionable business and application designs.
• Quantified improvements in at least two outcomes, such as design reuse, configuration efficiency, cycle time, quality, delivery cost, or reduction of product gaps and custom development.
