Vice President, Product Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main representative for stakeholders, sponsors, and prospective users within the organization.

• Ensure that solution decisions are in harmony with the overarching strategy.

• Guarantee that Features and User Stories are thoroughly vetted, prepared, executed, and delivered to clients.

• Collaborate to ensure that proposed solutions address proven customer needs, are feasible for implementation, and can be delivered profitably.

• Work alongside superiors to achieve strategic objectives in business epics through Features and User Stories.

• Determine when sufficient value has been created to prune or postpone lower-value features and stories from the backlog.

• Maintain an organized backlog and define the solution vision and roadmap in conjunction with leadership.

• Convey the strategic vision and outcomes to Delivery Teams while representing the voice of the customer.

• Establish success criteria and desired outcomes for Epics.

• Assess, prepare, execute, and deliver Epics, Features, and User Stories.

• Offer solution alternatives that balance capacity and demand.

• Contribute actionable work to cross-functional Delivery Teams with aligned Acceptance Criteria.

• Champion the needs and interests of customers.

• Conduct user interviews to gain insights into customer issues.

• Confirm prioritization aligns with strategic direction.

• Ensure release activities are consistent with the strategic vision.

• Identify and manage risks and obstacles among backlog items.

• Coordinate and engage in product releases and change management efforts.

• Prepare, organize, and convey release notes to clients or internal users.

• Develop and monitor metrics to enhance processes and assess progress.

• Mentor, coach, and train team members as required.

• Undertake other tasks assigned by the manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Computer Science, or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 8+ years of industry-related experience, typically with a minimum of 2+ years in an AVP-level role or a comparable external position.

• A minimum of five years with increasing responsibilities in product or service development, including the ability to assess the value of solutions provided to customers.

• At least 7 years of experience related to solution design and engagement with full-stack development techniques, with a strong emphasis on End User usability and UX designs.

• Strong analytical abilities to identify and propose persona/outcome combinations that drive business impact.

• Experience in data engineering, including the development and management of logical data models and proficiency in big data.

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Solid understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating systems.

• Proven experience in stakeholder management, representing interests, and promoting collaboration.

• Strategic mindset with the capability to align product decisions with organizational strategy.

• Proficient in vetting, preparing, executing, and delivering Features and User Stories.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Experience in conducting user interviews and generative or evaluative research.

• Understanding of backlog management and prioritization techniques.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and their application in product or service development.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in managing backlogs and dependencies.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Real estate experience is preferred but not mandatory.
