This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the development of curriculum and applications while aligning product strategy with enterprise objectives.
β’ Take ownership of the strategic product portfolio and manage the execution of the product lifecycle.
β’ Ensure timely delivery of features and achievement of learning outcomes.
β’ Serve as the strategic link between the Program Development, Curriculum & Instruction, and Technology teams.
β’ Ensure that the science of learning, instructional design, and robust evidence of student outcomes inform product design.
β’ Define and uphold a cohesive, multi-year product lifecycle roadmap.
β’ Lead and manage product development teams, individual contributors, and departmental resources.
β’ Recruit, mentor, and coach a highly capable, mission-driven team.
β’ Manage and optimize the annual departmental budget.
β’ Foster an outcome-driven culture centered on student development, retention, and engagement with families and educators.
β’ Own the teamβs operating playbook and reinforce best practices in product management.
β’ Maintain streamlined agile rituals, artifacts, and communication methods with the Project Management Office and agile/scrum facilitators.
β’ Oversee the development and maintenance of customer-facing technology.
β’ Guide engineering and product owners on architectural choices, system performance, trade-offs, and build-vs-buy evaluations.
β’ Ensure that digital software is designed for institutional deployment.
β’ Uphold student data privacy policies and accessibility standards.
β’ Align product development initiatives with go-to-market strategies and delivery timelines.
β’ Design, test, and implement strategic pricing and packaging models.
β’ Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams on launches, pilot recruitment, pricing experiments, and post-launch support.
β’ Enhance product efficacy through discovery, rapid prototyping, and customer feedback loops.
β’ Define, measure, and monitor product performance metrics.
β’ Conduct user testing, cohort analyses, and classroom pilots.
β’ Lead market mapping and competitive analysis efforts.
β’ Within the first year, adopt the Pillars and Capabilities decision framework, implement enhancements from a randomized control trial, integrate Program Services into product development, and ensure readiness of the Family App and Program Fidelity App.
β’ Supervise the Curriculum and Instruction leader, Product Engineering leader, Program Services leader, and four product owners.
β’ Report directly to the President and participate in the Senior Leadership Team.
β’ A minimum of 10 years of progressive product management experience in a dynamic environment.
β’ A proven history of guiding products from initial strategy through to successful market delivery.
β’ At least 5 years of direct experience in people management.
β’ Demonstrated capacity to attract top talent, reorganize teams, and mentor personnel.
β’ Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
β’ Proven experience collaborating with educational C-suite-level stakeholders.
β’ Background in leading or working alongside curriculum development and engineering teams.
β’ Ability to balance long-term technical viability and scalability with immediate product velocity.
β’ Experience partnering with Go-to-Market stakeholders to support pilots, state adoptions, and growth strategies driven by sales or products.
β’ Extensive knowledge of the K-12 educational landscape.
β’ Strong comprehension of the science of learning, instructional design, and curriculum development principles.
β’ Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Human-Centered Design methodologies.
β’ Eligibility to work and reside in the United States.
β’ Willingness to travel 10β20% of the time.
β’ Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 when working in-person at a Springboard facility or participating in in-person programming/events, unless a medical or religious exemption applies.
β’ Nice to have: Experience in delivering educational services.
