This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Establish the strategic vision for Pfizer's payer account management organization.
• Direct integrated payer account strategies across national, regional, and government payer clients.
• Create account plans that include objectives, customer strategies, negotiation priorities, and success metrics.
• Cultivate senior relationships with key payer customers and decision-makers.
• Lead and manage intricate payer negotiations and contracting conversations.
• Convert portfolio and brand access strategies into execution strategies tailored to specific customers.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Access Enablement, Finance, Medical, Legal, Policy, Patient Services, and Commercial teams.
• Position Payer Account Management as a valuable source of actionable customer insights.
• Track formulary positioning, access modifications, contracting performance, and account risks.
• Equip payer account teams for product launches and lifecycle management.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and a unified One Pfizer approach.
• Inspire, mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing payer account organization.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; 13+ years with an MBA/MS/MPH/master's degree; 10+ years with a PhD or JD.
• Extensive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or managed-care sectors, with substantial expertise in U.S. market access.
• Proven success in leading payer account management, national accounts, managed markets, or other senior customer-facing market access teams.
• In-depth knowledge of the U.S. healthcare landscape, including commercial, Medicare, and government payer dynamics.
• Significant experience in developing and implementing complex payer customer strategies that achieve access and business results.
• Demonstrated experience in leading sophisticated contracting and negotiations with large, complex healthcare clients.
• Strong grasp of payer economics, formulary management, reimbursement, gross-to-net dynamics, and the commercial ramifications of access decisions.
• Proven ability to navigate effectively across a complex portfolio and make strategic trade-offs between products and customer opportunities.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen.
• Established ability to influence senior internal stakeholders and engage credibly with senior external customer executives.
• Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing senior, seasoned teams.
• A history of leading through significant market, organizational, or business changes.
• Candidates must possess authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.
