This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of and expand a strategic territory comprising 12–15 named enterprise accounts throughout the Greater Houston area.
• Surpass sales goals by identifying new opportunities, enhancing existing relationships, and entering new accounts.
• Cultivate relationships with CIOs, CTOs, network leaders, infrastructure executives, architects, and other key decision-makers.
• Employ a consultative, value-driven sales approach to identify business challenges and showcase Arista networking solutions.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to design and position solutions that minimize total cost of ownership.
• Partner with technology associates to pinpoint prospects and demonstrate solutions effectively.
• Establish and nurture channel relationships within the designated territory.
• Develop account plans based on comprehensive business reviews.
• Conduct demand-generation activities, such as happy hours, lunch-and-learns, and technology forums.
• Work together with peers on marketing strategies and best practices.
• Keep track of technology partner solutions, competing offerings, and competitor strategies.
• Act as the customer-facing representative, aligning Arista's technical resources with customer business objectives.
• Typically report to a Regional Sales Manager or Area VP of Sales.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of experience in technology sales.
• Proven success in direct enterprise sales, including acquiring new logos and expanding within existing accounts in the Houston market.
• Relevant background in the data center or networking (LAN/WAN, SDN) industry from a technology partner, competitor, channel partner, or end user.
• Strong network of relationships and an executive-level rolodex within the territory.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Prior sales experience and technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Networking, SDN, NFV, Switching, Network Automation, Routing, Data Center, Edge Computing, Network Virtualization, Hyper-converged infrastructure, or Cloud computing.
