Vice President, Patient Services

📋 Description

• Provide executive leadership and operational oversight for HUB and patient affordability initiatives.

• Develop and expand patient access and affordability solutions for biopharma clients.

• Define and implement the operational strategy for copay programs, patient affordability solutions, and patient support services.

• Act as a senior strategic partner to clients.

• Identify opportunities related to technology integration, digital engagement, and patient insights.

• Collaborate on client onboarding, RFP responses, and program launches.

• Lead HUB operations, including benefits verification, prior authorization, financial assistance, copay assistance, patient onboarding, adherence programs, and nursing/clinical support.

• Establish and monitor performance metrics, client SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards.

• Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, scalability, and patient satisfaction.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of copay assistance and patient affordability programs.

• Collaborate with Technology and Analytics teams on data-driven decision-making and performance optimization.

• Lead senior directors and program managers accountable for operations and client execution.

• Foster leadership pipelines and a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.

• Oversee workforce planning, training, and talent development.

• Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry regulations, and company policies.

• Partner with Quality and Compliance teams for auditing, monitoring, and corrective actions.

• Manage operational budgets, staffing models, and resource allocation.

• Collaborate with Finance on program costs, margins, and scalability.

• Support discussions regarding strategic pricing and contract renewals.

• Adhere to company values, comply with training deadlines, and follow SOPs.

• Undertake additional assigned tasks or projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field is required.

• An MBA, MHA, or another related advanced degree is preferred.

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in patient support services, HUB operations, patient affordability programs, specialty pharmacy, or pharma services.

• Proven track record in leading large-scale, multi-client programs within a third-party HUB or outsourced services environment.

• In-depth understanding of patient access, reimbursement models, and the pharmaceutical commercialization process.

• Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships at the executive level.

• Strong leadership abilities, financial acumen, and operational management skills.

• Commitment to service excellence, innovation, and compliance integrity.

• Knowledge of compliance regulations including HIPAA, FDA, OIG, and manufacturer guidelines.

• Preference for candidates capable of typing at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.

• Ability or willingness to travel as required.

• Successful completion of a background check and, depending on the position, a drug screen.
