Vice President of Sales Operations

📋 Description

• Develop the enterprise Sales Operations function and business management system at MGT.

• Create governance, standards, and operational rhythms to foster a high-performing sales culture.

• Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales cadences, encompassing forecast calls, pipeline reviews, account evaluations, opportunity inspections, and business assessments.

• Oversee Salesforce forecasting governance and methodologies to enhance forecast accuracy, consistency, and executive confidence.

• Define pipeline management standards focusing on stage discipline, coverage, aging, conversion, push-outs, opportunity progression, and CRM integrity.

• Direct account and territory planning as well as sales coverage analysis in collaboration with Sales leadership.

• Deliver performance analytics and insights for sales compensation, quota, capacity, and productivity planning.

• Create executive dashboards to monitor pipeline coverage, conversion rates, win rates, sales cycles, attainment, productivity, and forecast accuracy.

• Transform sales strategy into scalable processes, playbooks, tools, and enablement resources.

• Ensure CRM data quality and merge legacy sales processes, systems, and reporting into a unified enterprise sales infrastructure.

• Aid in annual and in-year sales planning through headcount, capacity, coverage, productivity, and performance analysis.

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, go-to-market teams, proposal/pursuit teams, Finance, and other business leaders.

• Drive the adoption of new sales processes, tools, reporting methods, and operational rhythms.

• Integrate CRM, ERP, planning, forecasting, compensation, analytics, and workflow platforms into a scalable operational framework.

• Leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance forecasting insights, identify pipeline risks, boost CRM productivity, synthesize data, and streamline processes.

• Present insights on sales performance, forecasts, pipeline, productivity, and operations to executive leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, ideally in Business, Finance, Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, Business Operations, or a related field, preferably within B2B technology or professional services.

• Demonstrated success in building, scaling, or transforming Sales Operations within a rapidly growing, multi-business, or acquisitive organization.

• Extensive knowledge in forecasting, pipeline management, CRM governance, operating rhythms, account and territory planning, and enhancing sales productivity.

• Strong experience with Salesforce is essential.

• Background in supporting sales compensation, quota, capacity, coverage, and annual planning in conjunction with Sales leadership and Finance.

• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.

• Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.

• Familiarity with reporting/BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is preferred.

• Proven experience utilizing AI-powered tools, automation, and emerging technologies to optimize workflows, analysis, decision-making, and productivity.

• Excellent communication, project management, change leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience in SLED or broader public-sector sales is an advantage.

• Previous experience in integrating CRM, ERP, planning, forecasting, compensation, analytics, and workflow platforms is preferred, including platforms like Salesforce, Anaplan, Xactly/CaptivateIQ, Tableau/Power BI, NetSuite, Snowflake, and AI/automation tools.
