Vice President of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with STI Federal’s growth objectives, both organic and inorganic.

• Provide executive-level financial leadership and direction.

• Collaborate with various departments on forecasting and scenario planning.

• Manage project-specific pricing, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.

• Enhance financial policies, procedures, governance, internal controls, and audit preparedness.

• Ensure adherence to federal contracting financial regulations and mitigate financial risks.

• Supervise accounting operations and guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Convert accounting data into strategic insights.

• Own financial KPIs and ensure alignment across functions to support growth and project execution.

• Lead capital allocation and treasury management strategies.

• Optimize cash flow, manage banking relationships, and establish effective financing structures.

• Support STI Federal’s mission to foster growth through strategic government contracting while reinvesting profits into tribal businesses or community initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in federal contracting.

• Previous experience in senior roles such as Director of Finance, VP of Finance, CFO, or similar positions.

• Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint or other financial systems used in government contracting.

• Capability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearance.

• Strong strategic thinking and the ability to assess complex financial situations.

• Exceptional communication skills, able to translate financial insights into practical guidance.

• Proven ability to establish trust, collaborate effectively, and engage with cross-functional teams.

• In-depth knowledge of DCAA, GAAP standards, financial controls, and compliance in federal contracting.

• Ability to function effectively in a fractional or part-time leadership role.

• A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline is preferred.

• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

• Experience in tribal enterprises or mission-driven organizations is preferred.

• Experience supporting executive leadership team-level strategic operations is preferred.
