Vice President of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee all accounting and finance operations, encompassing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, treasury, and financial planning and analysis.

• Provide timely and precise monthly financial statements along with management reporting.

• Create financial models and conduct operational analyses to support executive decision-making.

• Enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting mechanisms.

• Act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the CEO.

• Collaborate with Operations to synchronize financial processes with operational activities.

• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards that link operational performance to financial results.

• Identify avenues to boost profitability, operational efficiency, and scalability.

• Acquire knowledge of and utilize the company’s CTMS/CTMA as both an operational and financial tool.

• Enhance billing accuracy, study reconciliation, collections, and sponsor invoicing practices.

• Reduce revenue leakage and optimize cash conversion.

• Strengthen controls around study closeouts, invoicing deadlines, and revenue capture.

• Serve as the primary financial contact for private equity stakeholders.

• Prepare Board reports, financial analyses, and materials for investors.

• Manage banking relationships, revolving credit facilities, and cash management strategies.

• Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers.

• Support lender reporting and ensure compliance with covenants.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.

• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

• Assess systems, workflows, and organizational structures to facilitate future growth.

• Recruit and develop financial talent as the organization expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance.

• Experience in leading finance functions within a multi-site healthcare services or similarly complex operational setting.

• Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis, accounting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.

• Proven ability to collaborate directly with executive leadership.

• Documented success in enhancing financial processes, controls, and operational performance.

• Experience in a private equity-backed company is preferred.

• Background in clinical research, healthcare services, physician practice management, or other healthcare operations is preferred.

• Experience in facilitating rapid organizational growth and value creation initiatives is preferred.

• CPA and/or MBA preferred but not mandatory.
