This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive the growth strategy of Waseyabek Federal Group and acquire new business opportunities.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize federal contracting prospects within target markets and agencies.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with federal decision-makers, industry partners, and subcontractors.
• Enhance and expand teaming partnerships to bolster growth initiatives and competitive positioning.
• Keep a close watch on federal procurement forecasts, budgets, strategic initiatives, and acquisition trends.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, networking functions, and client meetings.
• Establish and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Mentor and lead the capture and proposal team.
• Oversee capture efforts from opportunity identification to contract award.
• Perform opportunity assessments, competitive analysis, and develop win strategies.
• Create and execute capture plans to enhance the likelihood of success.
• Coordinate internal resources for solution development, pricing strategy, and proposal preparation.
• Lead customer engagement activities to confirm requirements and bolster company positioning.
• Facilitate gate reviews and advise on bid/no-bid decisions.
• Collaborate with proposal teams to align customer requirements, proposed solutions, and win strategies.
• Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to executive leadership.
• Identify emerging market opportunities and related growth areas.
• Support annual growth objectives and revenue projections.
• Monitor and report on business development metrics, pipeline health, and capture progress.
• Contribute to shaping corporate growth initiatives, partnerships, and long-term expansion strategies.
• Promote accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
• Offer guidance on best practices in federal business development and capture management.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, Government Contracting, Management, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience in business development within federal government contracting.
• A minimum of five (5) years of leadership or management experience in business development, capture management, or growth organizations.
• Proven track record in identifying, qualifying, capturing, and securing federal contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement successful capture strategies.
• Established relationships within targeted federal civilian or defense agencies.
• Strong grasp of federal procurement processes, acquisition regulations, and contracting vehicles.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 25% of the time.
• A master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Experience with Native-owned, Tribal, Alaska Native Corporation (ANC), or other socio-economic federal contracting organizations is preferred.
• Familiarity with SBA programs and federal small business contracting regulations is preferred.
• Professional certifications in capture management, federal contracting, or business development are preferred.
• Experience in developing and managing strategic partnerships and teaming arrangements is preferred.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal oversight while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
