This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
β’ Lead the expansion, retention, and management of relationships within the ATD Network.
β’ Recruit new colleges, districts, systems, and consortia into the ATD Network.
β’ Formulate recruitment strategies, establish annual growth targets, manage the prospect pipeline, and report conversion outcomes to the President and CEO as well as the Board of Directors.
β’ Oversee member-college renewals, benefits cycles, invoicing coordination, at-risk identification, interventions, and retention strategies.
β’ Direct institutional designations, applications, recertifications, and re-engagement initiatives for former members.
β’ Design and maintain ATD's college relationship management model along with an authoritative membership record.
β’ Define and disseminate responsibilities across Network Engagement, Services Management, Marketing and Communications, and Finance.
β’ Collaborate with IT and Digital Transformation on system-of-record configuration, governance, and data quality.
β’ Establish purpose, audience, success metrics, participation targets, registration revenue, and recognition strategy for Network convenings.
β’ Oversee college-facing contracts and recommend pricing for membership and services.
β’ Manage earned revenue targets associated with Network membership and college services.
β’ Supervise and nurture the Executive Directors of Network Engagement and Services Management.
β’ Manage the division's staffing, structure, budget, and staffing plan.
β’ Participate on the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to organizational planning, budgeting, and strategic decisions.
β’ Represent ATD in interactions with college presidents, system leaders, associations, and at national convenings.
β’ A Master's degree is required; a doctorate is preferred.
β’ At least ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education, membership organizations, nonprofit leadership, or institutional partnerships.
β’ Proven experience in building or revitalizing a membership, business development, or institutional sales function, with a focus on targets and accountability for results.
β’ Demonstrated experience in leading retention or renewal initiatives and reducing attrition.
β’ Familiarity with implementing or governing a customer relationship management system, establishing it as the authoritative record for the organization.
β’ Experience in defining roles and responsibilities across multiple functions and ensuring adherence to documented processes.
β’ Proven ability to set the purpose and audience for large convenings in collaboration with content and operations colleagues.
β’ Experience working directly with presidents, cabinets, and governing boards.
β’ Proven track record of reporting results to a chief executive and a board of directors.
β’ Strong knowledge of relationship management systems, including Salesforce, and expertise in data governance.
β’ Demonstrated capability to manage and publicly report on membership, enrollment, or revenue outcomes.
β’ Experience in building a disciplined pipeline, including qualification, stage definitions, forecasting, and conversion measurement.
β’ In-depth understanding of community colleges and national network membership decisions.
β’ Ability to establish trust with institutional leaders over extended cultivation periods.
β’ Willingness to travel frequently based on college recruitment, engagement, conferences, convenings, and partner meetings.
