This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the Head of Total Rewards to design and implement a comprehensive global benefits strategy.
• Manage the design of global benefits encompassing health and welfare, retirement/pension, wellbeing, and voluntary benefits.
• Spearhead benefits transformation initiatives, including harmonization, centralization, and planning for future M&A integrations.
• Establish and lead governance structures for benefits, including standards, decision-making rights, operating frameworks, and transition plans.
• Take ownership of relationships with global brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators, including managing contracts, renewals, and RFP outcomes.
• Manage the global benefits budget, tracking expenditures, forecasting costs, and identifying opportunities for increased efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to ERISA, ACA, and country-specific statutory regulations.
• Maintain audit readiness, manage required filings, and oversee benefits documentation.
• Supervise benefits administration, enrollment processes, life events, leave coordination, and escalations.
• Collaborate with HR Technology to ensure data integrity, system integrations, reporting, and analytics.
• Utilize AI and automation to streamline repetitive benefits processes.
• Provide executive support for employee communications, educational initiatives, and enrollment campaigns.
• Act as an escalation point for complex benefits issues.
• Build and nurture a global team comprising virtual and flexible team members.
• Collaborate across functions with Compensation, Talent Management, Payroll, Legal, Finance, Procurement, HR Business Partners, and business leaders.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in benefits management.
• Proven expertise in global benefits design, governance, vendor management, and regulatory compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. regulations, including ERISA and ACA.
• Experience in navigating multi-country frameworks such as the EU Pay Transparency Directive.
• Demonstrated ability to lead benefits strategy, administration, or governance across various countries and regions.
• Proficient in applying AI and automation to operational and administrative processes.
• Experience in building, centralizing, harmonizing, or transforming benefits operations.
• Skills in vendor and broker management, including handling RFPs, contract negotiations, and performance governance.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in managing a global benefits budget.
• Experience partnering with HR Technology teams on benefits systems, ensuring data integrity, and reporting.
• Exceptional communication, consultation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Leadership experience in developing high-performing teams, including flexible, virtual, or hybrid structures.
• Experience in creating new capabilities, operating models, governance structures, or shared-service approaches within benefits or Total Rewards.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Capability to support a global workforce across multiple time zones, including North America and Europe.
