This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic collaborator with the CFO, executive leadership team, Board, investors, and lenders, transforming enterprise strategy into financial plans and quantifiable outcomes.

• Deliver financial leadership and enhance performance visibility throughout the organization, pinpointing risks, opportunities, and essential business drivers.

• Take ownership of enterprise financial visibility and provide timely, actionable insights regarding performance, risks, growth opportunities, and strategic trade-offs.

• Create executive-ready financial updates, Board presentations, investor communications, lender reports, and strategic recommendations.

• Collaborate with the CFO on capital strategy, financing and refinancing initiatives, corporate transactions, and strategic projects.

• Represent the Finance department in executive and external forums as an extension of the CFO.

• Ensure financial controls, governance, audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices are upheld.

• Direct financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and strategic decision-support processes.

• Oversee the integrated financial model, which includes long-range planning, scenario analysis, liquidity forecasting, and capital allocation recommendations.

• Develop scalable reporting, analytics, KPI frameworks, dashboards, and performance management capabilities.

• Manage forecasting and performance reporting for value-based care and risk-based arrangements, converting financial and actuarial data into business insights.

• Partner with Accounting and Actuarial leadership on planning, reporting, cash flow management, medical cost forecasting, and performance management.

• Create investment evaluation, ROI, and capital allocation frameworks.

• Enhance budgeting and resource allocation processes.

• Fortify financial systems, processes, and governance practices.

• Assess market expansion, payer partnerships, strategic investments, and growth opportunities through financial analysis and business cases.

• Lead the financial assessment of clinical programs, care model innovations, technology investments, workforce strategies, and operational transformations.

• Provide support for future M&A, joint ventures, debt, and strategic transactions, including due diligence, valuation, integration planning, and post-transaction evaluations.

• Suggest improvements to organizational capabilities, business processes, operating models, and systems infrastructure.

• Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing Finance team.

• Establish scalable processes and strengthen leadership capabilities.

• Enhance the analytical and strategic skills of the Finance team.

• Cultivate expertise in the organization’s financial, operational, clinical, actuarial, and strategic drivers.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.

• 10–15+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, including strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, private equity, corporate development, or related areas.

• Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise planning, forecasting, performance management, and strategic decision-support functions.

• Healthcare experience is preferred, particularly within provider, payer, healthcare services, value-based care, or risk-bearing organizations.

• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and facilitate enterprise decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis and business insight.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience interacting with Boards, investors, lenders, and senior leadership teams.

• Successful track record in building and managing high-performing Finance teams, scalable processes, and organizational capabilities.

• Capacity to function effectively as both a strategic leader and a hands-on player/coach in a dynamic, high-growth environment marked by uncertainty and change.

• A deep passion and commitment to reimagining pediatric health care.

• Openness to updating and rigorously testing assumptions in a startup environment.

• Base salary range of $215,000 - $250,000.
