This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Define and take ownership of ECRI's strategy for data products and its multi-year roadmap.
• Act as the executive sponsor for initiatives related to data commercialization, which includes pricing, partnerships, and planning for market entry.
• Build and manage a high-performing team composed of product managers, data scientists, and a visualization designer.
• Implement governance for matrixed data engineering and Master Data Management (MDM) resources through the Data Products Council.
• Communicate the data products strategy and commercial outcomes to the CEO, Board, and external stakeholders.
• Supervise the entire lifecycle of data products, from discovery and definition to build, launch, and iterative improvement.
• Identify and rank commercial prospects within ECRI's healthcare safety data resources.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Legal teams on licensing, pricing strategies, customer success, and market launches.
• Establish frameworks to ensure data integrity, privacy, and independent authority.
• Develop data governance policies that encompass de-identification, access controls, and provenance tracking.
• Partner with data engineering to deliver scalable and reliable product solutions.
• Work alongside MDM to guarantee the quality of master data and ensure ontological consistency.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in data, analytics, or technology.
• A minimum of 4 years in a product leadership position or a P&L-accountable role.
• Proven track record in building and commercializing data products, ideally within healthcare, health IT, or life sciences sectors.
• Capability to identify data products that have market potential.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing relationships in a matrixed organization.
• Knowledge of healthcare data standards, HIPAA privacy regulations, and clinical terminology.
• Exceptional executive-level communication skills; proficient in presenting to executives, boards, and external partners.
• Background in or significant familiarity with patient safety, quality improvement, or clinical informatics.
• Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS), licensing, or subscription-based data product models.
