Research and Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Lead and execute studies to assess the effectiveness of AI tools for students.

• Oversee and perform research on student learning through zyBooks in fields such as Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Engineering, AI, Math, and Statistics.

• Disseminate research findings at reputable conferences and journals.

• Utilize data analytics to enhance zyBooks content and platform by evaluating learning outcomes and minimizing unnecessary challenges for students.

• Collaborate with instructors to design, implement, and publish research studies.

• Work alongside authors, engineers, and instructors on research for both new and existing products or major platform features.

• Partner with engineers to create early prototypes of tools that enhance student learning.

• Develop and maintain documentation and quarterly research reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate in STEM education disciplines.

• Robust experience in qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research.

• Proven track record of published research papers.

• Strong grasp of pedagogical methods relevant to STEM education.

• Proficiency in SQL.

• Experience in data analysis and visualization techniques.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Dedication to innovative teaching practices at the undergraduate level.

• Highly motivated and well-organized individual.

• Resume/CV required upon application.

• PhD in Computer Science or Computer Science education is preferred.

• Experience with AI is strongly preferred.

• Teaching experience is strongly preferred.
