This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as a reliable advisor and subject matter authority on compensation principles, policies, and procedures.
• Assess pay practices and programs throughout the organization and provide actionable recommendations.
• Manage complex compensation analyses, offering executive-ready insights, scenarios, and suggestions to HR leadership.
• Oversee organization-wide compensation initiatives and annual compensation cycle planning, including merit cycles.
• Take ownership of project plans, timelines, communications, data quality controls, and stakeholder alignment during execution.
• Conduct market pricing for company positions, identify benchmark matches, recommend job leveling/classification, and establish suggested pay ranges.
• Document compensation methodologies and pricing rationales.
• Lead job description evaluations and suggest edits that promote accurate market pricing and internal equity.
• Establish and uphold SOPs and standards for data/document maintenance, including governance, version control, and audit readiness.
• Prepare and submit organizational data for compensation and total rewards surveys.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement scalable process and reporting enhancements.
• Conduct compensation-related compliance analyses and audits in collaboration with HR and Legal.
• Ensure data integrity between PayFactors and Workday through audit/reconciliation controls.
• Perform root-cause analyses and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
• Convert business needs into requirements, collaborate on configuration and testing, and deliver reporting and self-service enhancements.
• At least 4+ years of experience in compensation analysis and/or administration of compensation programs.
• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in a compensation analyst or similar role.
• No less than 4+ years of experience managing projects and achieving results involving multiple stakeholders.
• Experience may consist of a combination of work experience and education.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, HR, or a related field.
• Proficient in advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data validation.
• Experience in developing repeatable reporting and analysis.
• Familiarity with HRIS and compensation systems such as Workday and PayFactors.
• Ability to convert business inquiries into data-driven insights.
• Preferred: 6+ years of experience in compensation analysis and/or administration of compensation programs.
• Preferred: 6+ years of experience in a compensation analyst or similar role.
• Preferred: 6+ years of experience leading compensation-related projects and/or annual compensation cycles.
• Preferred: CCP or other compensation-related certification.
