
Vice President, Commercial Business Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify, target, and cultivate new commercial opportunities centered around recurring revenue programs and large-scale projects.
• Build and sustain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Devise and implement account penetration strategies to attract new clients and increase market share.
• Oversee all stages of the sales process, from prospecting and discovery to solution development, proposal presentation, negotiation, and contract execution.
• Meet revenue, margin, and new business acquisition targets.
• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with C-suite executives, corporate real estate leaders, facilities managers, procurement professionals, and other key decision-makers.
• Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline management through CRM platforms.
• Act as the commercial lead for significant pursuits, enterprise opportunities, and strategically crucial customer engagements.
• Develop and maintain channel partner and strategic referral relationships.
• Assess opportunities for strategic alignment, operational viability, profitability, and long-term customer value.
• Provide market intelligence on customer trends, competitor activities, industry developments, and emerging opportunities.
• Engage in industry associations, conferences, and networking events.
• Maintain executive relationships with secured and assigned clients post-implementation.
• Identify avenues for service expansion, increase wallet share, and generate additional recurring revenue or large-scale project opportunities.
• Formulate account growth strategies and monitor customer satisfaction.
• Conduct internal and external business reviews and strategic planning discussions.
• Lead customer discovery efforts to comprehend project requirements, business drivers, risks, and success criteria.
• Collaborate with operations, project management, pricing, finance, and subject matter experts to craft customized commercial moving solutions.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, proposals, and business cases.
• Direct commercial negotiations and contractual discussions.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders for complex pursuits and solution development.
• Manage the transition of sold opportunities from business development to operational execution.
• Organize structured handoff meetings to align customer expectations, scope, contractual commitments, and project goals.
• Act as the executive sponsor during implementation and project initiation.
• Ensure customer engagement through the transition and launch phases.
• Assist in resolving implementation issues, escalations, and commercial matters.
• Communicate customer requirements, success criteria, and business objectives to operations teams.
• Facilitate post-implementation reviews to gather lessons learned, customer feedback, and future growth opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant business development experience will be taken into account.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive business development, strategic sales, account management, or commercial services experience is required.
• A proven track record of generating new business and achieving substantial revenue growth.
• Experience in selling complex service solutions to corporate clients and executive stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in developing long-term customer relationships that generate recurring revenue.
• Experience in leading large, complex sales pursuits involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Strong preference for candidates with commercial moving, workplace relocation, facilities services, logistics, project management, or related industry experience.
• Exceptional skills in prospecting, business development, and building relationships.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage senior-level decision-makers.
• Advanced skills in consultative selling, negotiations, and presentations.
• Ability to identify customer needs and create tailored business solutions.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Proficient in managing complex opportunities from discovery to implementation.
• Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Strong organizational, planning, and pipeline management abilities.
• Proficient with CRM systems and sales performance tools.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to support customer development, networking, and business growth initiatives.
