This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop and manage the strategy for Stellar’s total cost of care risk provider network, including ACO and payor contracts.
• Supervise and integrate the functions of Provider Success and Performance.
• Take ownership of aggregate quality performance metrics, total cost of care, Medical Loss Ratio, Shared Savings, and Surplus results.
• Establish performance benchmarks, targets, and executive reporting schedules across the provider network.
• Define a multi-quarter roadmap for provider performance within the ACO.
• Directly manage, mentor, and cultivate leaders within the Provider Success and Performance teams.
• Enhance organizational capability through strategic hiring, structuring, and talent development initiatives.
• Ensure that every provider has a data-informed action plan to address performance discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Med Econ and Enterprise Analytics to produce strategic insights and executive reports.
• Effectively communicate performance metrics, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership, payors, and provider executives.
• Act as an escalation point for intricate provider relationships while fostering executive relationships with significant medical groups and health systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Med Econ, and Clinical leadership on clinical programs and the total-cost-of-care strategy.
• Develop scalable playbooks, workflows, and tools.
• Manage headcount planning, budgeting, and resource allocation decisions.
• Travel occasionally to medical groups and health systems, up to 25% of the time.
• Minimum of 12+ years of experience in healthcare operations, with direct experience in an ACO/managed care organization or value-based care operations.
• At least 5+ years of experience in managing managers and leading multi-team organizations.
• Proven experience in developing senior-level individual leaders, such as Senior Managers or Directors.
• A strong track record of owning aggregate performance targets across a large portfolio of providers or accounts.
• Experience in setting strategy and translating it into an operational model, including launching initiatives from the ground up.
• Executive presence with experience in communicating performance, risks, and strategies to senior leadership, ideally including payor or provider executive audiences.
• Ability to prioritize strategically, negotiate deliverables, and make organizational-level trade-offs.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Proficient in Excel and BI tools.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build trust among internal and external stakeholders.
