📋 Description

• Support VOB team members in swiftly and accurately determining patient benefit eligibility for Spravato services based on insurance coverage.

• Prepare necessary Authorization Forms as required by various payers.

• Oversee benefits requests via email and client-specific applications.

• Conduct benefits checks within a one-hour timeframe.

• Validate benefits by utilizing insurance portals, carrier portals, general portals, or by contacting carriers directly.

• Review documentation processes for requested patients under insurance plans.

• Follow up on detailed verification items and update information in client-specific systems accordingly.

• Verify monthly eligibility to ensure patients remain active on their insurance plans.

• Document verification results in multiple systems as per client specifications.

• Execute necessary processes when a plan is modified or terminated.

• Complete authorization request forms as mandated by payers.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate degree (2-year college degree) is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a US-based medical billing practice, or 2 years of experience in a medical practice handling billing, including provider credentialing, authorizations, and reimbursement; experience in Behavioral Health is preferred.

• Must possess a backup power supply (such as an extra laptop, power bank, generator, or UPS).

• Must have personal computer and reliable internet connection.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

• Capable of planning and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Clear and effective communication abilities.

• Excellent reading comprehension skills.

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Comprehensive understanding of navigating the internet.

• Must manage own benefits and taxes as an independent contractor.
