This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Serve as the primary liaison for venue communications throughout the US and Canada.
• Cultivate relationships with current venue partners, ensuring professionalism and timely responses.
• Oversee daily venue operations concerning the events calendar.
• Verify availability, coordinate logistical needs, and guarantee venues are prepared and informed prior to each event.
• Research and identify potential new venues in targeted cities across the US and Canada.
• Negotiate venue pricing, availability, and terms of service.
• Manage contracts, bookings, and cancellations effectively.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of venue contacts, pricing, capacity, amenities, and historical performance.
• Address venue-related issues and escalate them as necessary.
• Collaborate with events and community teams regarding venue selection, event format, audience capacity, and city strategy.
• Monitor venue quality and gather feedback from members and hosts.
• Identify and resolve or escalate recurring venue challenges.
• Provide regular updates and reports on venue status, new venue pipeline, and upcoming bookings.
• Demonstrated experience in venue management, sourcing, event operations, or managing vendor/partnership relationships.
• Proficient in managing relationships and logistics remotely across multiple cities and time zones without direct supervision.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidently represent the client in a professional manner to external venue partners.
• Strong organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to independently manage an expanding portfolio of venues and contacts.
• Comfortable with outreach and negotiation, including cold contacting new venues to secure favorable terms.
• Familiarity with the events and hospitality landscape in the US and Canada is a significant advantage.
• Self-motivated individual who is adept at handling routine administrative tasks as well as ad hoc problem-solving.
• Must be based in, or closely aligned with, US or Canadian working hours.
