UX/Product Researcher

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to pinpoint critical questions prior to the definition of solutions.

• Execute both qualitative and quantitative research with customers, operators, providers, and patients.

• Foster ongoing relationships with users to provide continuous input for product development.

• Integrate interviews, usability tests, surveys, product analytics, support feedback, customer discussions, and business context to gain insights into user behavior.

• Recognize unmet needs, inefficient workflows, emerging behaviors, and opportunities for product strategy and roadmap development.

• Transform ambiguous findings into actionable insights, product opportunities, recommendations, and prioritization decisions.

• Question assumptions and differentiate between requested features and the fundamental user problems.

• Design simple experiments and research methodologies that are appropriate for uncertain conditions.

• Work alongside designers from initial concepts through prototypes and production experiences.

• Conduct usability tests and assess prototypes prior to their launch.

• Review shipped experiences and product outcomes following the implementation of changes.

• Discover opportunities for AI and automation to enhance healthcare workflows while ensuring human oversight and authority.

• Utilize AI-assisted research processes while upholding standards of evidence quality, bias, privacy, and validity.

• Develop journey maps, research reports, personas, frameworks, and other valuable communication tools.

• Establish systems that make research insights accessible across Product, Design, Engineering, and the wider organization.

• Assist teams in making evidence-based decisions to produce fewer low-value products with increased confidence.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Product Research, UX Research, User Research, or a comparable role within a digital product organization.

• Proven track record in tackling ambiguous product queries, identifying necessary evidence, gathering it efficiently, and influencing impactful product decisions.

• Proficient in qualitative research techniques such as user interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry, and concept testing.

• Experience with quantitative signals, including surveys, product analytics, experiments, or behavioral data, in conjunction with qualitative research.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to differentiate significant patterns from irrelevant information.

• Excellent synthesis capabilities for distilling complex information into clear insights.

• Strong product judgment and awareness of the connections between research, product strategy, design, engineering constraints, and business outcomes.

• Ability to convey research findings clearly and convincingly to designers, engineers, product managers, executives, and other stakeholders.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with ambiguous questions and uncertain methodologies.

• Pragmatic in selecting rigorous or lightweight research methods as appropriate.

• Experience collaborating closely with Product and Design teams throughout discovery, development, and post-launch assessment.

• Proficient in using modern AI tools to enhance research workflows while maintaining critical thinking and independent judgment.

• Inquisitive about how AI is influencing user behavior, software interfaces, and the design and development of products.

• Nice to have: experience with B2B SaaS, healthcare, telehealth, fintech, marketplaces, or other complex software platforms.

• Nice to have: experience researching products that cater to multiple user types or marketplace sides.

• Nice to have: familiarity with product analytics and behavioral data.

• Nice to have: experience conducting research in regulated or privacy-sensitive environments.

• Nice to have: experience researching AI-powered products, automation, or workflows involving human-AI collaboration.

• Nice to have: experience in establishing research practices, repositories, or continuous discovery programs.
