Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete design process for features, from discovery and research to concept development, prototyping, and final handoff.

• Conduct interviews, usability studies, and discussions with educators and students.

• Utilize product analytics to guide design choices.

• Foster relationships with existing partners and integrate their requirements into the design workflow.

• Convey findings through written reports, presentations, and prototypes.

• Transform concepts and technical specifications into sketches, user flows, prototypes, and files ready for handoff.

• Create user-friendly and accessible interfaces that adhere to brand standards, design systems, and established patterns.

• Develop AI-powered features tailored for educators and students.

• Leverage AI tools to enhance and expedite the design process.

• Collaborate with educators, designers, and engineers throughout the project lifecycle, from discovery to delivery.

• Generate build-ready specifications and tickets for engineering teams.

• Contribute to the upkeep and expansion of the component library.

• Report directly to the Principal Product Designer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in UI and UX design.

• A portfolio showcasing case studies that highlight the design process and outcomes.

• Proven experience in leading design research, including conducting interviews, usability studies, and engaging with partners/customers.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Experience in designing accessible products.

• Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG.

• Proficient in using AI tools within the design workflow.

• A keen interest in designing AI-enabled experiences.

• Strong proficiency with Figma.

• Knowledge of Adobe tools.

• Experience collaborating with designers and engineers to develop cohesive and intuitive user experiences.

• Ability to manage work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.

• Preferred: Experience in designing PreK-12 edtech products, especially in areas like MTSS, CCR, or durable skill development.

• Preferred: Experience in designing AI-enabled features or workflows.

• Preferred: Background working in a startup or other fast-paced environment.

• Preferred: An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in product design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, software engineering, or a related discipline.
