Senior Experience Designer, UI Design – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create stylescapes, moodboards, and visual explorations for client projects.

• Develop and enhance brand books and visual identity systems.

• Organize and engage in client brand workshops, translating discussions into visual concepts.

• Utilize generative image and video tools to explore and create concept visuals, campaign materials, and creative alternatives.

• Conduct UI and product design tasks using Figma and agentic tools such as Claude Code, Claude Design, and Figma Make.

• Implement structured agentic workflows, such as BMAD, from concept to production-ready design.

• Collaborate with product designers and developers to ensure consistent visual and brand quality across UI deliverables.

• Assess emerging AI design tools and keep up-to-date with current tool capabilities.

• Employ graphic design principles including typography, color, layout, and composition.

• Present concepts and creative rationale to client stakeholders effectively.

• Manage multiple simultaneous agency/consulting projects.

• Foster a design culture that embraces AI tools as creative partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of design experience, particularly in an agency or consulting setting.

• Strong foundational skills in graphic design, including typography, layout, brand systems, and visual composition.

• Portfolio showcasing experience with generative image and video tools, such as Midjourney, Figma Make, Figma Weave, Veo 3, or similar tools.

• Proven experience in creating stylescapes and brand books, as well as leading or participating in brand workshops.

• Proficiency in Figma with the ability to adapt to UI/product design responsibilities.

• Familiarity with or practical experience in agentic AI design workflows, including Claude Code and Claude Design.

• Strong presentation and communication skills suitable for client-facing interactions.

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

• Preferred: Familiarity with BMAD or similar agentic delivery frameworks.

• Preferred: A portfolio that includes both brand/graphic design and UI/product design.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Runway, Sora, Adobe Firefly, or comparable generative tools.

• Preferred: Understanding of front-end development or prototyping.
