This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Promote, sell, and demonstrate Greenlee & RIDGID tools and equipment.
• Lead and coordinate the growth of utility market sales through customer engagement and collaboration with local ProTools Territory Managers.
• Provide guidance and support to regional Territory Managers in a matrix-managed setting.
• Conduct field product demonstrations, offer training, and provide technical assistance for end users and distribution channel partners.
• Propel strategic new product sales and solutions to broaden market reach and increase market share.
• Create, present, and implement annual business plans aimed at driving incremental sales growth.
• Formulate and manage monthly and annual sales forecasts.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key distributor partners and end users.
• Act as a subject matter expert for products, applications, and pricing strategies within the assigned market.
• Assist regional and national organizations through training and the execution of special projects.
• Frequently utilize computers and communicate with employees and customers via telephone, mail, email, and in person.
• Report to the Regional Sales Manager for the South Region.
• Cover the existing territory of Alabama, Florida panhandle, Kentucky, southern Indiana, southern Ohio, Louisiana, southern Mississippi, and Tennessee.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Sales, Marketing, or the Electrical field within the utilities market.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a matrix-managed environment, including coaching, mentoring, and offering selling support to Territory Managers.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proven track record in formulating, presenting, executing, and assessing business plans.
• History of meeting goals and sales targets within the Electrical Utility market.
• Familiarity with distribution channels, particularly in electrical, industrial, and plumbing sectors.
• Capability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver industrial tools and product inventory for demonstrations and trade shows.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays and extended trips.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or a related field.
• Preferred: Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or technical support within B2B Electrical Utility Market sales.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical, utility, or plumbing tools.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with CRM applications is advantageous.
