User Interface Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Revamp a front-end application in line with a new UI/UX design.

• Create secure, responsive, and maintainable application interfaces.

• Enhance user workflows to minimize system switching and repetitive data entry.

• Build reusable UI components and establish consistent navigation patterns.

• Safely access, display, validate, and submit data through backend services and REST APIs.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, data services developers, backend developers, QA engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and Government stakeholders.

• Assist in regression testing, user acceptance testing, demonstrations, and bi-weekly software releases.

• Provide mentorship to junior team members.

• Produce maintainable technical documentation.

• Address defects, performance challenges, and production support requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Design, enhance, and maintain user interfaces using Java and Angular.

• Apply Government-sanctioned UI/UX designs, wireframes, and persona-driven workflows.

• Integrate front-end components with backend services and REST APIs.

• Operate within the existing authentication, authorization, role-based screen access, validation, and security framework.

• Modernize Oracle Forms-based user experiences while ensuring compatibility with approved libraries/infrastructure.

• Develop and execute unit and integration tests; assist in regression testing and user acceptance testing.

• Utilize Git and contemporary source-control methodologies.

• Engage in Agile software development, code reviews, backlog refinement, and release processes.

• Capability to obtain Secret clearance; US Citizenship is required.

• Successfully pass a drug test and background screening.

• Active Secret Clearance is preferred.

• Experience in modernizing legacy enterprise applications, especially Oracle Forms applications.

• Proficiency with Java-based enterprise applications and Angular component architecture.

• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility and responsive/user-centered interface development.

• Background in supporting DoD or Air Force applications, RMF/ATO environments, or CAC-enabled systems.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure code scanning.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and functional teams.
