U.S. Immigration Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Prepare, organize, and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documents.

• Draft and review legal documents, declarations, affidavits, recommendation letters, and client correspondence.

• Engage with clients to collect information, request supporting documents, provide case updates, and address inquiries.

• Maintain organized and precise digital case files.

• Oversee and update legal case management and CRM systems, including PracticePanther, Lawmatics, Docketwise, Pipefile, and Monday.com.

• Monitor filing deadlines, track case progress, and assist with scheduling and administrative coordination.

• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff on case preparation, workflow management, and strategy implementation.

• Leverage legal technology and AI-assisted tools to enhance productivity, organization, and workflow efficiency.

• Meet defined standards for quality, productivity, responsiveness, and client service.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree is mandatory.

• At least 2 years of practical experience managing U.S. immigration cases is required.

• Proven experience in preparing and managing U.S. immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation.

• Familiarity with legal case management and CRM software is essential, including platforms like Docketwise, PracticePanther, Lawmatics, Pipefile, or similar systems.

• Strong drafting, organizational, and multitasking skills.

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple deadlines while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Proven track record of meeting performance targets and productivity expectations in a fast-paced legal setting.

• Strong proficiency in using AI tools to enhance work product and efficiency is highly preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A reliable home office setup, including high-speed internet and a backup power solution to ensure consistent availability during power outages.
