This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Engage with Urologists, Radiation Oncologists, and Medical Oncologists who are involved in the treatment of prostate cancer.
• Interact with Urologists focused on treating overactive bladder and neurogenic detrusor overactivity linked to neurological conditions.
• Formulate comprehensive business and account plans to implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales targets while fostering strong relationships with customers.
• Address customer requirements to enhance both short-term and long-term sales performance.
• Adhere to AbbVie's business code of conduct, policies, laws, and regulations.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional matrix team including medical, market access, and AbbVie Care teams.
• Meet sales performance goals, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing aims.
• Develop pre-call strategies and conduct post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and concerns, successfully closing sales calls either in-person or virtually.
• Address stakeholder needs and cultivate trusted relationships.
• Implement call plans to optimize engagement with key customers and enhance sales opportunities.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical expertise.
• Communicate market insights with the district manager and team members.
• Distinguish AbbVie's value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Create and optimize integrated account plans in collaboration with in-field team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Commerce, or a related field.
• A minimum of three to five years in a Specialty Sales position within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Experience in Urology is considered an advantage.
• Established relationships with targeted healthcare professionals are a plus.
• Preferred background includes physician/account-based selling, CHE / OLA / training, managed health care, or marketing experience.
• Demonstrated success in sales with strong presentation skills in both face-to-face and virtual settings.
• Familiarity with iCertis, CTE/Concur, or Veeva is beneficial.
• Strong capability to recognize various customer styles/behaviors and adjust the sales approach accordingly.
• Extensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Strategic thinking and critical analysis skills are essential.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Proficient in using Zoom, Veeva Engage, and Microsoft Teams.
• The position may require occasional evening or weekend work, including overnight travel.
• Anticipated travel within the territory is 50%.
• A valid driver's license and passport are required.
• Ability to think strategically and create a high-quality territory plan.
• Sound business judgment and the capability to evaluate local market trends.
• Ability to forecast customer and competitive outcomes accurately.
