Updates Editor – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess and refresh existing content for precision, relevance, clarity, and utility.

• Revise articles for grammar, structure, tone, readability, and compliance with editorial standards.

• Confirm facts, statistics, pricing, company information, and other time-sensitive details using reliable sources.

• Detect outdated or missing information and decide what should be added, removed, or rewritten.

• Adhere to SEO guidelines while upholding a strong consumer-first editorial perspective.

• Work in tandem with editorial and SEO teams to prioritize content revisions.

• Handle multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring a high standard of quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in a content, editorial, or writing position with a strong emphasis on SEO.

• Comprehensive understanding of SEO content best practices and search intent.

• Proficient editing, writing, and proofreading abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Experience in updating existing content to enhance quality, relevance, and organic search performance.

• Strong editorial judgment with the capability to determine what information is most significant to readers.

• Proficient in conducting research and validating information using reputable sources.

• Well-organized and capable of managing a high volume of content and deadlines.

• Comfortable collaborating with editors and SEO teams.

• Highly organized and adept at juggling multiple assignments, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.

• Experience in editing consumer, service journalism, or product-focused content (preferred).

• Familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or similar SEO platforms (preferred).
