This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Review a daily queue of system-generated cultural markets against a specified completion deadline.
• Evaluate candidate markets for factual correctness, clarity, and adjudicable resolution criteria.
• Ensure that the opening and closing timings align with the actual event.
• Determine whether markets are genuinely active and culturally pertinent.
• Validate policy compliance with community standards and content guidelines.
• Escalate markets that involve private matters, health, minors, grief, or unverified allegations.
• Approve, edit, or reject candidates while documenting a structured rationale for each decision.
• Revise questions and resolution language for accuracy and authentic fandom terminology.
• Create timestamped clarifications and manage settlements on markets without an authoritative feed.
• Monitor social platforms, fan communities, and entertainment media for overlooked culturally relevant moments.
• Engage in weekly calibration reviews.
• 3+ years of experience in entertainment journalism, editorial, social or community management, or a similar role requiring up-to-date subject-matter expertise.
• Proven current fluency in U.S. entertainment culture, encompassing television, film, music, celebrity, and the fandom landscape.
• Familiarity with the U.S. media environment.
• Strong judgment in ambiguous situations, differentiating between rumor and confirmation, changing release dates, contested award results, and revised chart methodologies.
• Ability to quickly interpret sources and arrive at a defensible conclusion.
• Outstanding written accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Keen ability to distinguish public interest from private life, with the discipline to escalate issues rather than speculate.
• Willingness to work evenings, overnight, and weekends during live events.
• The contractor must provide a secure computer and high-speed internet.
• Company-sponsored health insurance and paid time off do not extend to contractors.
