University Admissions Counselor – Traditional Ground Campus

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Manage the Denver, Colorado region as a University Admissions Counselor.

β€’ Assist students at Grand Canyon University Traditional Ground Campus from the application stage through their initial weeks on campus.

β€’ Organize and execute event/activity plans to enhance awareness of academic offerings and campus community, while generating inquiries.

β€’ Provide guidance to prospective students and their families through in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, texts, and Zoom sessions.

β€’ Advocate for student success at Grand Canyon University and contribute to institutional growth.

β€’ Establish connections with community college students, faculty, and staff.

β€’ Engage with key stakeholders within the designated territory.

β€’ Participate in fairs, school visits, presentations, community events, and campus activities.

β€’ Conduct campus tours for prospective students.

β€’ Serve as a representative of Grand Canyon University within the assigned territory.

β€’ Operate independently while guiding prospective students and families through the admissions process.

β€’ Mentor students and families, fostering relationships with community colleges and their personnel.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Residency in or around Denver, CO is required.

β€’ A Bachelor's degree is necessary.

β€’ No delinquent or defaulted federal student loan, as confirmed by a credit report; rehabilitation-program participants must be up to date on payments.

β€’ Exceptional time management and organizational abilities are essential.

β€’ Strong communication and engaging presentation skills are required.

β€’ Well-honed listening capabilities are essential.

β€’ Self-motivation and a strong desire to succeed are necessary traits.

β€’ High emotional intelligence with the ability to show empathy is essential.

β€’ A valid driver's license is required.

β€’ Reliable transportation and the capability to use a personal vehicle are necessary.

β€’ A flexible schedule and willingness to travel are important.

β€’ A clean driving record is required.

β€’ Availability for evening and/or weekend events may be necessary.

β€’ Candidates residing outside of Phoenix must be able to travel there 1–3 times per month.

β€’ Proficiency in computer literacy is required.

β€’ Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.

β€’ Experience as an alumnus of Grand Canyon University, relevant industry experience, or experience with CRM tools is a plus.
