This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage with professional clients and manage intricate case coordination.
• Communicate complex or abnormal genetic testing results.
• Thoroughly assess test orders and laboratory reports to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Oversee case management for complex scenarios between internal teams and external clients.
• Serve as the intermediary between professional clients and laboratory teams.
• Provide education and support to professional trainees, including students in genetic counseling.
• Participate in the development of new tests, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate on professional manuscripts and presentations pertaining to genetics.
• Master's degree in Genetic Counseling (M.S. or M.A.) from an ACGC-accredited program or a comparable qualification.
• Board certified or Board eligible in Genetic Counseling by ABMG or ABGC.
• Preferred experience of over 1 year in clinical or laboratory genetics.
• Comprehensive understanding of clinical and laboratory genetics, as well as relevant resources.
• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within laboratory teams.
• Basic knowledge of regulations governing laboratory operations.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including database management and electronic medical records.
• Ability to sit frequently.
• Frequent use of hand and finger dexterity.
• Regular ability to hear and talk.
