This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Montana.

📋 Description

• Instruct graduate-level courses within the Master’s program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

• Assess program effectiveness and engage in systematic program evaluation.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to graduate counseling students.

• Oversee master-level interns during their practicum and internship experiences.

• Create, evaluate, and enhance programs and courses as needed.

• Ensure adherence to CACREP accreditation standards.

• Attract students and promote their retention and success.

• Act as a representative of the School of Health Professions on various university committees and teams.

• Foster and maintain connections with counseling agencies, associations, and licensure boards.

• Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to create interprofessional education and practice opportunities.

• Take part in shared governance committees addressing academic, curricular, student, and faculty matters.

• Prepare both internal and external administrative documents, including materials for accreditation self-study and site visits.

• Establish partnerships with healthcare organizations to facilitate clinical experiences for students.

• Represent the program at professional conferences and local community events.

• Stay informed about current trends through participation in conferences and professional development activities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A PhD in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program (required).

• Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) (preferred).

• Licensure as an Addiction Counselor (LAC) (preferred).

• Experience in teaching within higher education, ideally at the graduate level.

• Proven success in curriculum design, program evaluation, and accreditation processes.

• Familiarity with distance education and online learning platforms.

• Demonstrated capability in academic networking and a commitment to incorporating best practices into academic systems and processes.

• Evidence of ongoing scholarly engagement.

• If eligible for professional licensure, must possess a current, unencumbered license and be eligible for licensure in the State of Montana.

• Ability to meet academic faculty responsibilities and support teaching, scholarship, service, and professional development activities.
