University Admissions Counselor – Traditional Ground Campus

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Manage the California region as a University Admissions Counselor.

β€’ Organize and execute events and activities to enhance awareness of academic programs and the campus community, leading to increased inquiries.

β€’ Advise prospective students and their families through in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, texts, and Zoom sessions.

β€’ Establish connections with community college students, faculty, and staff.

β€’ Engage key stakeholders throughout the territory.

β€’ Participate in fairs, school visits, presentations, community and campus events, and conduct campus tours.

β€’ Advocate for Grand Canyon University and contribute to the growth of the institution.

β€’ Work autonomously from home while assisting prospective students and their families throughout the admissions journey.

β€’ Support students from the application stage to their initial weeks on campus.

β€’ Mentor a diverse range of students and families while fostering relationships with community colleges and staff.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Must reside in or around Phoenix, AZ.

β€’ Bachelor’s degree required.

β€’ No delinquent or defaulted federal student loans, as confirmed by a credit report; if in rehabilitation, the report must indicate current payments.

β€’ Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.

β€’ Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver engaging presentations.

β€’ Well-honed listening skills.

β€’ Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.

β€’ High emotional intelligence and a capacity to show empathy.

β€’ Valid driver's license required.

β€’ Dependable transportation and the ability to utilize a personal vehicle.

β€’ Flexible schedule with a readiness to travel frequently.

β€’ Clean driving record is essential.

β€’ Availability for evening and/or weekend events as needed.

β€’ Proficient in computer usage.

β€’ Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.

β€’ Relevant professional experience in the industry is advantageous.

β€’ Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.

β€’ Experience as an on-campus attendee or alumni of Grand Canyon University is an additional benefit.
