Clinical Inquiry Specialist – Genetic Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Address clinical, technical, and scientific inquiries from both internal and external clients regarding precision oncology products.

• Offer clinical expertise to laboratory personnel and molecular geneticists concerning accession inquiries, modifications to test orders, and interpretation of results.

• Collaborate with molecular geneticists and various departments to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality test results.

• Contribute to the creation of marketing materials, website content, scientific meetings, industry conferences, and networking opportunities with genetic counselors.

• Develop educational resources and support public speaking initiatives aimed at client and public education.

• Maintain professional certification through continuous education.

• Facilitate the intake and execution of Special Projects.

• Carry out specialized tasks that exceed standard genetic counselor responsibilities.

• Support the training of genetic counseling assistants.

• Identify and communicate problems or issues to the Clinical Inquiry Specialist Manager.

• Adhere to company Quality Management System policies and procedures.

• Ensure regular and dependable attendance.

• Operate within standard office and genetic testing laboratory environments.

• Travel locally and overnight for client meetings and conference attendance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling.

• ABGC/CCGC Board Certified or eligible.

• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Over 2 years of experience in an Oncology Genetics clinical role.

• Familiarity with various oncology-related genomic technologies, including tumor NGS, ctDNA, and Molecular Residual Disease assays.

• Comprehensive knowledge of human genetics.

• General understanding of personalized health care, clinical genetics, laboratory medicine, and informatics.

• Ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Capacity to analyze intricate problems.

• Exceptional verbal, nonverbal, and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency in setting priorities and managing multiple tasks.

• Ability to adhere to a designated schedule.

• Visual acuity, hearing acuity, and physical capability to perform tasks in a laboratory and using computers.

• Proven ability to fulfill essential duties with or without accommodation.
