UK Commercial Lawyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver commercial legal services tailored for startups and small businesses.

• Prepare and evaluate commercial contracts.

• Provide guidance to clients in various areas of commercial law.

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients with varying needs.

• Engage in activities such as company formation, contract assessment and negotiation, employment law, capital raising, and data protection.

• Utilize Sprintlaw’s technology platforms and embrace the tech-startup business model.

• Operate independently while collaborating with a dynamic international team.

• Offer efficient, accessible, and fixed-fee legal services.

• Exclude dispute resolution or litigation from responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 2–4 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in general commercial law.

• Background in private practice or an in-house legal environment.

• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts.

• Corporate law knowledge, particularly in startup capital raising or M&A, is advantageous.

• Experience in employment law is preferred.

• Familiarity with technology law is considered a plus.

• UK legal qualifications are highly regarded but not mandatory.

• Experience in UK law firms is beneficial; however, experience in other common law jurisdictions is also welcomed.

• Personable with a proven track record of direct client engagement.

• Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate technology platforms effectively.

• Self-reliant and comfortable working independently.

• Efficient, with a focus on smart working practices to accomplish tasks.

• Ideally possess valid working rights in the UK.

• Visa support is limited to Australian, New Zealand, or Canadian citizens who have practiced law in their respective jurisdictions.
