This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the digital design team while directly overseeing UX and UI designers.
• Act as the steward of design excellence, craftsmanship, accessibility, and technical viability.
• Connect UI design with front-end technical implementation.
• Execute mobile-first design strategies across responsive websites, mobile applications, and omnichannel experiences.
• Analyze intricate datasets to extract valuable insights that inform design strategy.
• Manage scalable design systems, component libraries, Figma Variables, and design tokens.
• Provide strategic guidance for projects involving Shopify, Adobe Commerce, React.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ensure visual consistency, micro-interactions, motion design, and adherence to WCAG accessibility standards.
• Keep abreast of AI advancements and incorporate emerging tools into design workflows.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a multidisciplinary UX/UI design team.
• Supervise effort estimation, project assignment, capacity forecasting, and workload management.
• Collaborate with project management on creative budgets and process improvement initiatives.
• Spearhead proposals and new business presentations.
• Engage in strategic discussions with executive client stakeholders.
• Translate business objectives into digital strategies and steer client feedback iterations.
• Champion the business impact of user research and strategic UI/UX approaches.
• Over 10 years of experience in digital design, preferably within an agency setting.
• A proven history in a creative leadership or executive role.
• Expert-level skills in UI design.
• Hands-on front-end development experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React.js.
• Mastery of Figma, including advanced prototyping, variables, and auto-layout capabilities.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong working knowledge of e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and Adobe Commerce.
• Comprehensive understanding of user research, information architecture, responsive layouts, and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Ability to manage team capacity, forecast workloads, estimate task efforts, and adhere to project budgets.
• Outstanding storytelling, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Skill in simplifying complex challenges into engaging strategies for clients.
• Willingness to explore new tools and frameworks for rapid prototyping and process optimization.
