This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Take ownership of intricate UX/UI design projects from start to finish, including discovery, wireframing, high-fidelity delivery, and handoff to developers.
• Create designs for the website, eCommerce platform, and customer account interface.
• Establish the quality benchmarks for the team's design output.
• Balance speed, quality, and scope while effectively communicating decisions to the Manager and stakeholders.
• Develop well-organized Figma files to facilitate team collaboration and ongoing maintenance.
• Convert strategic objectives into actionable design strategies.
• Discover opportunities for AI-enhanced experiences.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to build and assess prototypes alongside product, content, and engineering teams.
• Offer data-driven design recommendations and clarify the rationale behind them.
• Collaborate with analysts, product owners, and strategists to analyze data and pinpoint experience gaps.
• Suggest design-led enhancements.
• Keep abreast of UX, UI, and eCommerce design trends, introducing pertinent concepts.
• Elevate team craftsmanship through critique, knowledge-sharing, and robust design thinking.
• Provide constructive feedback to junior designers.
• Organize and lead usability testing, design reviews, and research sessions.
• Distill research findings into implementable recommendations.
• Advocate for user-centered design decision-making.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in design, UX, HCI, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in UX/UI design.
• A portfolio showcasing strategic thinking and outstanding craftsmanship in complex digital products.
• Proven experience in utilizing AI within a professional product-design context.
• Capability to discuss a significant AI-related project that involved design exploration, prototyping, workflow enhancements, or an AI-driven experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma.
• Experience contributing to and working within established design systems.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results without constant supervision.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to communicate design rationale clearly and confidently.
• A collaborative and low-ego approach.
• Proficiency in English is required; Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.
• Capacity to work primarily in a sedentary role indoors, whether from home or a company office.
