This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Take ownership of intricate UX/UI design initiatives from start to finish, encompassing discovery, wireframing, high-fidelity delivery, and developer handoff.
• Craft designs for the website, eCommerce platform, and customer account interface.
• Establish quality benchmarks for team deliverables across various fidelity levels.
• Evaluate and communicate trade-offs involving speed, quality, and project scope.
• Create well-organized and maintainable Figma files.
• Convert strategic objectives into tangible design strategies.
• Spot opportunities for AI-enhanced experiences and leverage AI-assisted or agent-building tools for prototype creation and assessment.
• Collaborate with product managers, content creators, engineers, analysts, product owners, and strategists.
• Generate data-driven design recommendations and pinpoint experience deficiencies.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends in UX, UI, and eCommerce design.
• Elevate team craftsmanship through critiques, knowledge-sharing, and robust design thinking.
• Offer constructive feedback to junior design team members.
• Organize and lead usability testing, design evaluations, and research sessions.
• Translate research outcomes into practical recommendations.
• Advocate for user-centered decision-making processes.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in design, UX, HCI, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in UX/UI design.
• A portfolio showcasing strategic insight and exceptional skills across complex digital products.
• Proven experience utilizing AI in professional product design, including at least one significant project involving design exploration, prototyping, workflow enhancement, or an AI-enabled experience.
• Proficiency in Figma.
• Comfort with working within and enhancing established design systems.
• Ability to work independently, understand briefs, ask insightful questions, and deliver results without continuous guidance.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the capability to articulate design rationale clearly and confidently.
• A collaborative, low-ego mindset with a commitment to the growth of colleagues.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Experience in eCommerce, telecommunications, or high-volume digital consumer products is advantageous.
• Familiarity with front-end development workflows and best practices for developer handoff is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with UserTesting, Maze, or Lookback is beneficial.
• A background in conversion rate optimization or data-driven design experimentation is an advantage.
