Traveling Leasing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the leasing and marketing initiatives for newly constructed affordable, senior, and family apartment communities.

• Supervise the leasing and move-in processes for newly developed communities.

• Present new apartment homes to local residents, community leaders, referral partners, organizations, and government entities.

• Oversee leasing, marketing, advertising, communication, and branding strategies.

• Drive qualified traffic and achieve full occupancy within designated timeframes.

• Conduct door-to-door outreach and grassroots marketing efforts.

• Cultivate relationships with residents, businesses, employers, community organizations, and referral sources.

• Form partnerships with government entities, municipalities, housing authorities, nonprofits, and civic leaders.

• Act as the Brand Ambassador for the property.

• Identify and implement creative, community-focused marketing strategies.

• Plan, organize, and host events for residents and prospective tenants.

• Participate in community events, networking functions, and local meetings.

• Raise awareness through guerrilla marketing and direct relationship building.

• Establish referral networks to enhance prospect traffic.

• Visit and assess competing apartment communities for market positioning and pricing insights.

• Utilize social media, digital advertising, outreach initiatives, and local media opportunities.

• Maintain a consistent daily presence throughout the community.

• Conduct professional tours of the apartments.

• Follow up with potential tenants via phone, email, and text.

• Assist applicants during the qualification and approval process.

• Collect and verify the necessary documentation.

• Process rental applications and ensure compliance with requirements.

• Keep records of prospects and leasing activities in company systems.

• Monitor leasing objectives and occupancy performance.

• Coordinate move-ins and onboarding for residents.

• Prepare reports on marketing and leasing activities.

• Suggest adjustments to marketing strategies based on results and market trends.

• Travel to the subsequent out-of-town assignment after completing each task.


⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree is required.

• At least 2 years of experience in leasing, sales, marketing, hospitality, recruiting, retail sales, or similar customer-facing roles.

• Demonstrated ability to generate leads and successfully close sales.

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and online marketing platforms.

• 100% travel is required, with assignments typically lasting 3-5 months.

• Must have access to a personal vehicle for travel purposes.

• Ability to multitask effectively.

• Capable of developing effective solutions to various problems or situations.

• Must communicate proficiently via email, Microsoft Teams, and telephone.

• Strong command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires urgency.

• Flexible schedule is essential.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.

• Preferred: experience in multifamily leasing.

• Preferred: experience in new development lease-ups.

• Preferred: experience in affordable housing or LIHTC.

• Preferred: experience in event planning and community outreach.

• Preferred: experience in social media marketing.

• Bilingual skills are considered a plus.
