πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Translate the coalition-building strategy and priorities of CDP into actionable work plans, milestones, and deliverables.

β€’ Oversee assigned coalition initiatives and workstreams from the planning phase through to implementation.

β€’ Monitor progress and make adjustments to approaches as necessary.

β€’ Manage project plans, timelines, meetings, documentation, and follow-up actions.

β€’ Track deliverables, stakeholder commitments, budgets, risks, decisions, and milestones.

β€’ Identify implementation challenges and propose or execute solutions.

β€’ Manage relationships with partners and coordinate the onboarding and engagement of coalition participants.

β€’ Hold contributors accountable for their commitments and escalate significant risks or obstacles.

β€’ Support engagement efforts with funders, humanitarian organizations, grassroots networks, and other stakeholders.

β€’ Plan and facilitate coalition meetings, workshops, and convenings.

β€’ Synthesize discussions, insights, and stakeholder feedback into summaries, recommendations, talking points, and knowledge-sharing materials.

β€’ Navigate diverse stakeholder perspectives and identify opportunities for alignment and collective action.

β€’ Promote cross-departmental collaboration within CDP.

β€’ Assist in creating fundraising materials, grant proposals, and reporting.

β€’ Represent CDP at selected convenings and peer network events.

β€’ Track fundraising commitments, coalition budgets, and resource requirements.

β€’ Document the coalition's value, outcomes, and stories for communication purposes.

β€’ Collaborate with fund management, marketing and communications, development, and strategy and innovations teams.

β€’ Enhance internal processes, tools, and systems for coalition building.

β€’ Share lessons learned and contribute to effective coalition-building practices.

β€’ Report to the director of coalition building and support organization-wide priorities.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in stakeholder engagement, project management, philanthropy, community engagement, disaster and humanitarian response, or related fields.

β€’ Proven experience in independently managing complex projects or workstreams that involve multiple internal and external stakeholders.

β€’ Ability to exercise sound judgment, solve problems, and make recommendations in complex or ambiguous situations.

β€’ Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, deliverables, and coordination across teams.

β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in facilitation or meeting management.

β€’ Ability to synthesize information, identify patterns, and translate insights into clear recommendations.

β€’ Capability to manage multiple tasks with exceptional attention to detail.

β€’ Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and effectively navigate ambiguity.

β€’ Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn and utilize project management, collaboration, and relationship management technologies.

β€’ Preferred: experience in philanthropy, nonprofit, humanitarian, or disaster recovery sectors.

β€’ Preferred: experience in supporting collaborative funds, coalitions, alliances, or cross-organizational initiatives.

β€’ Preferred: familiarity with fundraising or resource mobilization.

β€’ Preferred: experience using relationship management tools or CRM systems.

β€’ Must be eligible to work in the U.S. now and in the future.

β€’ Must be based in Mountain, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones.

β€’ Ability to provide documentation of extended legal eligibility to work in the United States.
