📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of subcontracted installation teams throughout the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning phases of project-related systems.

• Act as the primary point of contact for all construction-related activities.

• Support the Project Manager with budget management, adherence to site processes, site management, and compliance related to installation and site activities.

• Manage the technical, contractual, budgetary, and scheduling aspects of the project site.

• Organize project development and pre-construction tasks, including scheduling, estimating, and staffing needs.

• Coordinate the issuance of construction drawings, conduct specification reviews, and secure necessary approvals.

• Carry out constructability reviews throughout the design phase.

• Lead efforts in construction coordination and documentation, including pre-construction meetings and progress updates.

• Formulate scopes of work and validate scopes and bids with subcontractors and vendors.

• Create and sanction schedules for subcontractors and vendors.

• Develop execution plans for the site.

• Oversee and schedule commissioning activities.

• Manage the construction Request for Information (RFI) process.

• Assist in the creation of project scope, schedule, and budget for installation, conversion, or demolition activities.

• Promote and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and OSHA safety regulations.

• Examine Requests for Proposals (RFPs), pre-construction activities, scopes, and trade partner alignments.

• Supervise and verify the progress of mechanical, electrical, commissioning, and related construction operations against the baseline schedule.

• Create, verify, and manage change orders from subcontractors and vendors.

• Establish, implement, and finalize project deliverables.

• Guide the construction project team through mobilization, execution, and demobilization phases.

• Lead daily and weekly meetings and facilitate pull-planning sessions.

• Address challenges in coordination with stakeholders.

• Align as-built drawings with field and engineering teams.

• Serve as the liaison between engineering and construction operations to resolve technical challenges.

• Steer quality-control initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee self-performed mechanical, electrical, and steel erection installations.

• Prepare all necessary project reporting documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Construction Management, specifically in the Parcel material handling industry.

• Experience with UPS, FedEx, and DHL is preferred.

• Previous oversight of mechanical and electrical subcontractor activities within an operational industrial facility undergoing renovations or build-outs of existing structures.

• Possession of an OSHA 30-hour safety card.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, NAVIS Works, Bluebeam, and other relevant software.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and design drawings.

• Competence in understanding mechanical, electrical, and steel installation plans.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in presenting and communicating effectively with customers, contractors, and management.

• Proven expertise in construction scheduling.

• Capable of leading and facilitating meetings.

• Demonstrated experience in business development.

• Skilled in planning, assessing, and adjusting resource requirements, including schedules for work resources and material delivery.

• Proficient in developing specifications and subcontract agreements.

• Excellent time management and delegation abilities.

• Possesses a diplomatic approach when interacting with onsite teams, project managers, and clients.

• Able to identify and manage stress effectively.

• Willing and able to travel 80–90% of the time.

• Capable of speaking and hearing, lifting materials up to 50 pounds occasionally, and bending at the knees to inspect pallets or review packing lists.
