This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the installation and execution of projects related to material handling automation and sortation systems.

• Supervise electrical subcontractors on extensive and intricate projects.

• Ensure that electrical installations are conducted safely and meet quality standards, project specifications, technical requirements, electrical codes, and client standards.

• Act as the main point of contact for electrical subcontractors, maintaining communication with internal project teams, clients, and vendors.

• Monitor electrical progress and quality, predict schedule compliance, keep redline updates, and resolve or escalate any discrepancies.

• Organize the personnel, materials, tools, and equipment of subcontractors to align with construction timelines.

• Confirm electrical project advancement during daily and weekly meetings.

• Conduct weekly assessments of electrical progress completion.

• Verify and maintain turnover documentation, which includes area-ready reports, installation completion checks, pre-power checks, power-on test reports, field wiring test reports, pre-commissioning checks, and system/area turnover documentation.

• Manage the electrical project budget by forecasting potential issues, mitigating change orders, and monitoring anticipated work hours.

• Ensure that industrial networking is installed and certified according to engineering specifications.

• Collaborate with electrical supervisors to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and design.

• Oversee subcontractors to complete projects within budget, schedule, quality, and performance standards.

• Review project documents, plans, and specifications; prioritize installation tasks and coordinate field installations and project close-outs.

• Assist with equipment trial runs and confirm compliance with Vanderlande and client standards.

• Train subcontractors on equipment installation procedures.

• Uphold site safety awareness and standards.

• Monitor electrical deliverables, subcontractor performance, staffing levels, and project enhancements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with electro-mechanical equipment.

• Ability to travel on short notice to meet urgent project needs.

• Willingness to work on weekends, holidays, and potentially during off-shift hours.

• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and AHJ requirements, with the capability to train others.

• Proficient in reading, understanding, red lining, and challenging electrical layout drawings, standards, and schematics.

• Skilled in troubleshooting complex control and motor wiring circuit issues.

• Prior experience in the installation of material handling equipment.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in a related technical or specialty field.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport.

• Must have (or be willing to obtain) OSHA 30 certification within the past 3 years.

• Proficient in computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.

• Hold electrical licensing or certification in one or more states.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Electrical licensing or certifications are essential.

• OSHA 30 training required.

• Strong proactive safety management skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and specialized programs.

• Adaptability to changing or evolving situations/environments.

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Exceptional time management skills.

• Financial stewardship and expertise in electrical budget/cost management.

• Capability to resolve ambiguity and manage complexity.

• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.

• Willingness to work an average of 50 to 60 hours per week, including up to 7 days a week.

• Preferred: Currently holds a valid electrical journeyman’s license in one or more states.

• Preferred: 5-7 years of experience in the material handling or automation industry.

• Preferred: Experience managing large and dynamic material handling projects.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyor systems.
