Travel Consultant – After Hours/Evening/Weekends

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +22 more states.

📋 Description

• Promptly respond to calls and emails from clients seeking new travel arrangements or modifications to current itineraries.

• Utilize Sabre to accurately and efficiently book and issue airline, hotel, car, and other reservations.

• Maintain adequate account knowledge to assist clients without delay.

• Daily review of queues to ensure the accuracy and completeness of issued tickets.

• Manage service non-stop programs such as preferred vendors, Waiver/Favors, RezCritiques, and Vacation Referrals.

• Offer travel expertise to clients.

• Prepare quotes for international travel and evaluate restrictions, non-refundable policies, Open Skies, and FAA regulations.

• Achieve management-defined KPIs, encompassing productivity, transactions, consistent attendance, and adherence to schedules.

• Liaise with airlines regarding flight modifications, seating arrangements, and upgrades, keeping clients informed.

• Adhere to ADTRAV policies, procedures, and approved traveler-service workflows.

• Deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy and resolving traveler issues.

• Collaborate with other agents and employees to troubleshoot problems, gather information, and assist travelers.

• Enhance knowledge of ADTRAV's industry and customer demographic.

• Engage in ongoing training sessions.

• Uphold ADTRAV's values while fostering effective relationships with employees, partners, vendors, and clients.

• Comply with company policies and procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in booking both domestic and international travel; experience with complex international travel is a plus.

• Proficiency in using a GDS System; Sabre is required, while Amadeus is an advantage.

• Extensive knowledge of city, airline, hotel, and car rental codes.

• Familiarity with government travel regulations, visas, and passports.

• Understanding of federal travel regulations, including the Fly America Act and Open Skies Agreement.

• Strong computer and typing skills, with the ability to navigate quickly between programs and utilize shortcut keys.

• Proven experience in learning and applying technology, alongside the capacity to use multiple applications and monitors at once.

• Ability to consistently provide excellent customer service, both internally and externally.

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

• Outstanding English written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent listening abilities, capable of responding to traveler needs and clarifying as required.

• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.

• Highly self-motivated, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and completing tasks with minimal supervision.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely, while being receptive to feedback and guidance.

• Professional and positive demeanor with both internal and external customers/clients, along with the ability to work collaboratively.

• Capacity to work remotely while meeting company home-office requirements.

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods without leaving the work area.

• Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.

• Willingness to work evening, night, overnight, weekend, and holiday schedules between 7 PM - 7 AM CT.

• Successfully pass credit, criminal, and/or employment reference background checks.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government contract; proof will be required upon hire.

• Capable of successfully completing a government clearance process as required by clients.
