
Travel Consultant – After Hours, Evening, Weekends

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +21 more states.
• Respond promptly to calls and emails from clients seeking new travel arrangements or modifications to existing itineraries.
• Utilize Sabre to book and issue airline, hotel, car, and other reservations.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of accounts to assist clients without delay.
• Review queues daily to ensure accuracy and complete the issuance of tickets.
• Manage non-stop service programs, including preferred vendors, Waivers/Favors, RezCritiques, and Vacation Referrals.
• Provide travel expertise to clients.
• Prepare quotes for international travel and evaluate restrictions, non-refundable rules, Open Skies, and FAA requirements.
• Achieve management-defined KPIs, including productivity and transaction targets, consistent attendance, and adherence to schedules.
• Communicate with airlines regarding flight changes, seating arrangements, and upgrades, while updating clients accordingly.
• Adhere to ADTRAV policies, procedures, and approved traveler-service workflows.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, identify traveler challenges, and resolve issues with empathy.
• Collaborate with agents and employees to gather information and assist travelers.
• Engage in ongoing industry training.
• Foster effective working relationships with employees, partners, vendors, and clients.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in booking domestic and international travel; experience with complex international travel is advantageous.
• Proficient in using a GDS system; Sabre experience is mandatory, Amadeus experience is a plus.
• Strong familiarity with city, airline, hotel, and car rental codes.
• Understanding of government travel requirements, visas, and passports.
• Knowledge of federal travel regulations, Fly America Act, and Open Skies Agreement.
• Strong computer and typing skills, including the ability to navigate between programs quickly and use shortcut keys.
• Proven experience in learning and utilizing technology, multiple applications, and multiple monitors simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent listening skills and ability to clarify and address traveler needs.
• Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, while also receiving feedback and direction.
• Professional and positive demeanor; able to work collaboratively.
• Capability to work remotely and meet company home-office requirements.
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Must maintain confidentiality regarding company and client information.
• Flexibility to work evening, night, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts between 7pm and 7am CT.
• Must pass credit, criminal, and/or employment reference background checks.
• U.S. citizenship is required by government contract, with proof upon hire.
