Transplant Initiatives Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and ensure accountability for the Transplants for All initiative of the National Kidney Foundation

• Manage significant T4A projects spanning state-level and national teams, which includes coordinating meetings, logistics, data analysis, and project execution

• Create and uphold timelines for projects, programs, and initiatives

• Take responsibility for project and program communications and regular operational routines

• Provide expertise in transplant and donation for strategic planning and ongoing improvement efforts

• Track and manage transplant partnerships, programs, and projects in collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders

• Collaborate with NKF field offices and headquarters teams to implement the collective impact model at local and regional levels

• Organize and oversee the Transplant Advisory Committee, including meetings, teleconferences, member support, and communications

• Direct grant and research projects, comprising grant applications and project management assistance

• Assist with budget monitoring and reporting

• Create and execute a measurement and impact framework that includes metrics, tracking systems, and reporting schedules

• Enhance measurement strategies and ensure the data is credible and useful, aligning with organizational practices

• Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities through data analysis and proactively communicate them to leadership

• Generate internal reports by gathering and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative program data

• Develop content for external impact reports, updates for funders, and materials for donors

• Prepare PowerPoint presentations, written reports, and communications for stakeholders

• Perform additional responsibilities as needed

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

• A master’s degree in a health-related or social services field is preferred

• At least 5–7 years of relevant work experience managing complex projects or programs in a healthcare or nonprofit environment

• Strong preference for prior experience in a transplant-related organization

• Proven experience in developing or managing program performance or measurement systems and translating data into actionable reports

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

• Experience in preparing materials for senior leadership, funders, or boards

• Preferred experience in executing research or grant-funded projects

• Outstanding interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills

• Capability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with minimal supervision

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills

• Willingness and ability to learn new software tools, including the thoughtful use of AI tools

• Flexibility for less than 10% overnight business travel, with occasional evening and weekend availability

• Unquestionable integrity and trustworthiness; demonstrating tact, discretion, and professionalism

• Ability to maintain effectiveness under pressure

• Proficient in using standard office equipment, including telephone, personal computer, fax machine, and photocopier
