This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Design and implement compensation programs, policies, and strategies for ministry executives, which include short- and long-term incentive plans, supplemental executive retirement plans, and retention programs.
• Advise senior leadership on compensation decisions, practices, and the interpretation of policies and guidelines.
• Deliver comprehensive analyses, models, recommendations, and expert guidance to management and HR executives.
• Collaborate with Executive Talent Acquisition on total compensation offers and the onboarding process for newly appointed executives.
• Engage with executive candidates and new hires to discuss their compensation packages.
• Offer individualized support to departing executives as needed.
• Work alongside the Human Resources Compensation Committee’s independent consultant on plans and programs that require Committee review and approval.
• Prepare materials and assist in presentations to the HR Committee of the Board.
• Coordinate with Legal, Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit, and third-party administrators to ensure precise reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
• Lead interdisciplinary workgroups focused on mergers and acquisitions, cost-saving initiatives, audit outcomes, compensation system development, integration, and implementation.
• Conduct compensation-related tasks associated with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including due diligence, retention strategies, and integration efforts.
• Generate ad hoc reports, analyses, and support for special projects.
• Stay informed about trends and regulations in executive compensation.
• Prepare and compile necessary data and information for required filings.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Management, or Accounting is required.
• A Master's Degree (MBA or MHR) is preferred.
• CPP, PHR, or SPHR certifications are preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in compensation is required.
• At least 2 years of specific experience in executive compensation within a healthcare environment is desired.
• Strong critical thinking abilities and decisive judgment are essential.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision is necessary.
• Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment and respond appropriately is required.
• Experience in leadership and mentoring is preferred.
• Background in Private Equity or Venture Capital is considered a plus.
