This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Design and implement compensation programs, policies, and strategies for executive, management, and staff levels.
• Advise senior leadership on compensation decisions, practices, and the interpretation of policies and guidelines.
• Deliver comprehensive analyses/models, innovative suggestions, and expert counsel to management and HR executives.
• Train and guide management on compensation philosophy, salary structures, market analysis, and processes for merit and bonuses.
• Collaborate with HR Communications to create employee communications regarding compensation topics.
• Supervise the annual execution and management of compensation programs and systems.
• Handle merit, market, and equity analyses, along with recommendations and adjustments for short- and long-term variable compensation.
• Ensure data integrity within data management and reporting processes.
• Lead cross-functional workgroups that focus on associate pay, mergers and acquisitions, cost-saving initiatives, audit outcomes, and the development and implementation of compensation systems.
• Collaborate with the independent consultant of the Human Resources Compensation Committee on plans and programs that need review and approval.
• Assist in creating materials for Compensation Committee presentations.
• Guarantee accurate reporting, budgeting, and compliance with relevant compensation laws and regulations.
• Provide expertise and support for successful union negotiations and bargaining processes.
• Guide the system Compensation team through mentoring, goal-setting, policy formulation, and resource optimization.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Management, or Accounting.
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) credential.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in compensation, including experience in healthcare compensation.
• Strong critical thinking abilities and sound judgment.
• Capability to work with minimal oversight.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and take appropriate actions.
• Experience in leading and mentoring teams.
• Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions.
• MBA or MHR is preferred.
• PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
