This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Design and implement compensation programs, policies, and plans for ministry executives, encompassing both short- and long-term incentive plans, SERP, and retention initiatives.
• Advise senior leadership on compensation decisions, practices, and the interpretation of policies.
• Deliver comprehensive analysis, models, recommendations, and expert guidance to management and HR executives.
• Collaborate with Executive Talent Acquisition on executive compensation offers and the onboarding process.
• Engage with executive candidates and newly hired individuals regarding their compensation packages.
• Offer support to departing executives as needed.
• Work alongside the Human Resources Compensation Committee's independent consultant on plans that require Committee review and authorization.
• Prepare documentation and assist in presentations to the HR Committee of the Board.
• Partner with Legal, Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit, and third-party administrators on reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead cross-functional teams focusing on mergers and acquisitions, cost-saving initiatives, audit findings, and the development and implementation of compensation systems.
• Conduct compensation-related activities for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including due diligence, retention strategies, and integration efforts.
• Provide ad hoc reports, analyses, and support for special projects.
• Stay informed about trends and regulations surrounding executive compensation.
• Communicate and consult with executives, Legal, Finance, and external consulting firms.
• Prepare recommendations and presentations for the HR Committee of the Board.
• Assist in the compilation and review of necessary filings.
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Management, or Accounting.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in compensation.
• At least 2 years of specific experience in executive compensation within a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make decisive judgments.
• Capability to work with minimal oversight.
• Ability to function in a high-pressure environment and respond appropriately.
• Experience in leading and mentoring team members.
• Preferred experience in Private Equity or Venture Capital.
• A Master's Degree (MBA or MHR) is preferred.
• CPP, PHR, or SPHR certification is preferred.
